3D/4D Ultrasound

3D ultrasound is a medical ultrasound technique used during pregnancy, providing three dimensional images of the fetus. These images are captured rapidly and are animated to produce a "4D ultrasound".
The 4D ultrasound provides you with the opportunity to "see" your baby before he or she is born in a three dimensional image, as well as the black and white 2D image. Using real time 4D ultrasounds can show your baby's facial features, expressions, hand movements, stretches, yawns and even smiles while in your womb. The ability to see your baby before it is born allows you to strengthen your bond with your baby.
At Medray, 4D ultrasounds are performed in conjunction with 18-20 week detail ultrasounds only. The medical ultrasound requires a doctor's referral and the 4D imaging is done as an added, private fee service.
The 4D experience is displayed on a large LCD monitor and parents will receive selected images and video clips of the baby on CD.
As 4D ultrasound studies require more time than the standard exam, requests for 4D must be made at the time of booking your ultrasound examination. The additional cost of the 4D ultrasound is $150 payable by cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard at the time of check in.
