Diagnostic Breast Imaging is is performed for women who are having a breast problem such as a lump, unusual nipple discharge, or pain, or have had previous breast cancer or breast implants.

Diagnostic Mammograms are specialized breast x-rays. These breast x-rays are available at MedRay Imaging only, and are not available at the Screening Mammography Program of British Columbia.

Ultrasound of the Breast is done to assist in diagnosing breast conditions. A breast ultrasound may be done following a mammogram or by itself.

Diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds require a referral from your doctor. Prior to booking the examinations the requisition must be faxed to 604.942.4612. Patients will be called to schedule an appointment after the requisition is received.

When you come for your appointment please bring your BC Care Card.

Routine screening mammograms in women without symptoms of breast cancer are done through the Screening Mammography Program of BC located in the Gordon Professional Centre. This clinic is accessed through a separate entrance in the southeast corner of the building.
