COVID 19 PROTOCOLS:

 

MASK UPDATE: All patients must wear a 3-layer, disposable MEDICAL MASK before entering MedRay. Cloth masks and scarves are no longer acceptable. A medical mask is defined as >95% BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency).  

GUEST POLICY: Only patients are permitted to enter MedRay. Guests must wait outside the building. The only exception is for Obstetric appointments - 1 guest may be permitted into the procedure room for the final 5-10 mins of "Show and Tell"; the guest must wait outside, within 2-3 mins of the foyer, carry a cell phone and wait for the patient to text when ready. The guest is subject to MedRay's masking and COVID screening protocols. We appreciate your understanding.

RUBBER GLOVES: are no permitted inside the clinic.

WALK IN SERVICE: Xray is a walk-in service*. All other appointments must be booked in advance. Please call to book your appointment

COVID SYMTPOMS: If you or your family are experiencing any of the following symptoms: 

- A NEW or WORSE cough

- Shortness of breath

- Feeling feverish

- Have vomiting or diarrhea

We kindly ask that you call our office to reschedule your appointment.

* Please note that all CHEST XRAY appointments and XRAY appointments for 5 or more body parts must be booked. No walk ins allowed at this time.

MedRay Imaging has proudly served Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia since 1981. Here at our current location Gordon Professional Centre and our previous clinic locations at Elgin Medical, Sunwood Plaza and Wilson X-ray Centre have provided diagnostic imaging to the residents of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody for more than 40 years.

Our state-of-the-art Imaging Centre at Gordon Professional Centre opened in May 2005. We perform Digital Radiography, Diagnostic Mammography, Bone Densitometry, a full range of Ultrasound examinations and Image-Guided Pain Management procedures.

OUR CORE PURPOSE is to preserve and improve health and quality of life through medical imaging.

The MedRay team is led by a group of highly skilled and sub-specialty trained Radiologists who provide services to the Fraser Health Authority at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster and Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody. This provides MedRay patients and referring physicians with the highest possible level of service by providing continuity of care at these hospitals. All MedRay Imaging exams are performed by professionally trained technologists. All of our X-ray technologists are certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Imaging Technologists. Our Ultrasound technologists are certified with Sonography Canada.

 

MSP Eligible. All services are covered under MSP with a valid BC Care Card, or other provincial public health insurers.

  • We expect all individuals, including patients, their guests, and our staff to treat one another with Respect and Courtesy. The safety and security of our patients and staff is our top priority. We will not tolerate abusive, violent or disrespectful behaviour. We appreciate that health care appointments are stressful but we request that you help maintain a stress free environment.
     

  • Children and dependants: For the safety and security of children and our guests, children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Furthermore, children, spouses and other guests are not permitted into the exam rooms. Please arrange for child care during your appointment. We will need to reschedule your appointment otherwise. Thank you.
     

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your appointment to allow for the check in process or other delays.
     

  • Appointment cancellations: we require 24 hours notice, otherwise you will be subject to a $75 No Show/Late Cancellation Fee.
