DIAGNOSTIC BREAST IMAGING APPOINTMENTS
Unattended children are not permitted at MedRay. Please arrange childcare otherwise we are unable to serve you.
Diagnostic Mammograms
These tests require a referral from your doctor. Prior to booking the examinations the requisition must be faxed to 604.942.4612. Patients will be called to schedule an appointment after the requisition is received.
When you come for your appointment please bring your BC Care Card.
Routine screening mammograms in women without symptoms, are done through the Screening Mammography Program of B.C. located in the Gordon Professional Centre. This clinic is accessed through a separate entrance off the parking lot in the southeast corner of the building.
Ultrasound
All ultrasound examinations require a referral from your doctor with a completed requisition.
For Ultrasound of the Breast your doctor must fax the requisition to 604.942.4612. We will contact you by telephone to schedule the examination once the requisition is received.
Breast MRI
Booking an MRI scan requires a referral from a physician or specialist. A fax back form is available by clicking on the PDF link below. Please take care to fill in all the sections as there are very specific questions which need to be answered to insure your safety before the MRI scan can be booked.

Screening Mammography
You can book your own screening mammogram at MedRay Imaging's BC Cancer Breast Screening office by calling 604-927-2130.
Screening Mammograms do NOT require a referral from your family doctor, however you must provide the name of your primary care provider when you make the appointment for this exam.
If our phone line is busy, screening mammogram appointments may also be booked through the BC Cancer Breast ScreeningSMP central booking line at 604-877-6187.
Please have your BC Care Card or your Program I.D. number ready.
